When i return, and play for 5 seconds, my client crashes. Not only today i experience the problem, i been experiencing for weeks. Btw i use mac 10.6
Some server kick/ban more then others, and i get kicked extra much when i have like 2-3 ratio(when i play better). Please fix this problem for 1.2.0.1
please, read the post just above yours, i just said it was fixed long time ago.

Yesterday I tried entering the bob match servers and it would not allow me. It would say incompatible game protocol and that I should get the updated version. But the fixed version has not been released for mac OS X. When is the approximated date for the fixed version to come out or this problem to be fixed on this version?

Is libcurl installed?

For RedHat based systems, type this at the command line:
sudo yum install SDL SDL_image zlib libogg libvorbis openal-soft libcurl

For Debian based systems, type this at the command line:
sudo apt-get install libsdl1.2debian libsdl-image1.2 zlib1g libogg0 libvorbis0a libopenal1 libcurl3

I encounter sudden crashes (can't reproduce by following steps - it just crashes suddenly when playing online). Crashes occured on 1.2.0.0 and occur now on 1.2.0.1 from SourceForge. Here's the console output (OS and specs at the end):

self compiled ?
if you're compiling your own client, try to avoid GCC or use lower optimization (try -O2)

I dont know where else to out this but is there a way that a map could set a players fog level at like fog 250 or something. It would dramatically add an effect on ny current map im working on and i think it would look a lot better on some other maps. Esecially if the player couldnt change it back to say 1024.
Thanks given by:
at the top of the map .cfg file, type in
fog 250

players can change it at will by typing /fog 1024 or something along those lines.
Every time the map pops up, it'll start them at fog 250 though.
Thanks given by:
too bad you can't make users have a certain fog, that would be awesome. So they couldnt change it in other words
Thanks given by:
I think it was considered making fog behave as /maxfog so the user can lower it if needed for their machine but not raise it solely to have the advantage. Easy to do.
Thanks given by:
You could also make it so /fog couldn't be used outside of editing modes (Kinda like how cs prevents it unless servers have cheats enabled).
Thanks given by:
I think it would add graphics to the game and cool changes in gameplay, like maybe a blizzard map or something would be cool.

Nope, it's the one downloaded from the website (SourceForge).

I disable it because it does some weird "smearing" glitch and I can't see opponents when it happens :o

I've made commands that are set permanently via config file and "tried out" in edit mode temporarily (think skymaps) Totally feasible for the devs to accomplish if they want to.

Try compiling your own, open a terminal, cd to your AssaultCube folder (e.g: cd /home/user/AssaultCube/ ) and type this:
sudo apt-get install build-essential clang libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev zlib1g-dev libogg-dev libvorbis-dev libopenal-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev -y && cd ./source/src && make install

Then, try it again. If you need instructions for a 'yum' based system, I don't have the package list on me.

No, please, this "jetpack mode" should be a new game type! It's fun when playing LSS or OSOK. Pretty please!

Also, the ability to deactivate gravity would be fun. In LSS, grnades would fly like rockets, which is better than obeying the gravity. You almost can't hit anything with gravity.

Maybe this new feature would be best implemented as a voting option that would apply to everyone if passed.

When you ran assaultcube.sh, did it use a file named "bin_unix/native_client".

If you want to double-check, do this:
cd PATH/TO/ASSAULTCUBE/FOLDER && exec bin_unix/native_client --init
