new features are being implemented, but not to the trunk.

So they can make it, it just can't make it's way into the SVN & 1.2.0.0?

you should definitely check the SVN sometimes.

also, what SKB said : feature freezes ARE needed

I update it weekly.
Answer the question. :o

i guess you're updating the trunk; the SVN isn't just the trunk.

So can new features get into the next release still or not?
Thanks given by:
what don't you understand in "feature freeze" ?
Thanks given by:
'stuff being implemented but not to trunk' = stuff getting in but not getting in. It's confusing.

If linux bug isn't fixed/worked around yet, most devs have no idea how to help with that bug, so holding them back from adding more quality to the upcoming release is a bad idea imo. Especially features that would headline the release's changelog.
Thanks given by:
There is /nothing/ confusing.
We're working on other things (cube engine improvements, new gamemodes, etc.) and we put them into other branches (they are made for that);
Since the amount of testers - i'm talking about real testing- can be counted on one amputated hand, we need more time than you may think to make sure things are working fine.

Feature freeze = necessary step.
Thanks given by:
If by "feature freeze" you mean "don't shove everything into one giant update but rather release them bit by bit in a more gradual fashion to ensure that each little portion is up to the highest standards possible due to the size of the testing community," then I fully support it.

Thanks given by:
Good question. It's not easily available because it's not officially released yet, but...here, if you're on Windows. The other platforms will be along shortly. If I'm saying something I shouldn't, expect this post to disappear.
