ACWC List of servers

Why not, instead of making fun of his english everytime, you try to help him to shape his idea to a more understandable one?

I believe what ursopufe is trying to say is that he is getting high pings while playing in the server named 'gaia' as he is taking from 8 to 10 seconds to respawn (probably he is saying this so organizers take into account this fact), however he gets 200ms (aprox) on xenon's servers and he agrees with this (200ms) ping.

Perhaps you should consult a Portuguese speaker rather than an automated translator (that can't understand all the nuances & dialects of some languages)?

Besides, Google Translate gave a pretty good response:

I just told you... my servers pings are about 200 to USA. It's europe that is at least 300... and Brazil is probably 500... and I can prove it with these pings below...

Now, these are all to proper data centres, so assume an extra 50ms for a normal home-based connection... unless you're on a real crap connection, in which case, add 100.

By the way.. notice the connection doesn't wobble much? That's what really counts.

As you know, special binaries are being made for the world cup and therefore the servers will have to be modified.
We want the server binaries to be sent to a limited amount of server owners.
We also need several highly reliable servers located in different places (Europe, America...).

These servers should satisfy these criteria :
  • They should be running the official ACWC server (linux only)
  • They must using a given set of passwords (for referees) and as few other passwords as possible
  • If possible, ports should be changed frequently and communicated to the players just before a game. (not absolutely necessary)
  • They should not register to the masterserver;

If you're willing to set up for the ACWC, please ask on this thread.
More information about the ACWC client will be posted very soon.

I've finally been given the executable by Lucas. My server will be available by the weekend, if not sooner.

Pings:
* NZ (0 to 40ms)
* Australia (25 to 75ms)
* Western/Central USA (140ms to 185ms), Eastern USA/Canada/Middle America (approx 200ms) & Singapore (approx 170ms).
* Elsewhere (i.e. Europe) is 200 to 300ms, unless you're somewhere far away like South America (330ms approx), Russia/India (350ms approx) or South Africa (420ms approx).

Server address is: /connect kiwi.ac 2013

The server features insane amounts of bandwidth available, has connectivity with multiple providers and is close to the overseas gateways. They also have a very good uptime reputation with a 99.9% promise (and there are no scheduled outages currently). Connection is 10GbE. CPU's are 2x Intel Nehalem (E5506) @ 2.13GHz.

Hi, I've got a little question about the Xenoob server, we are testing it, but it's almost unplayable due to lag. I was wondering if this could be fixed for tonight's match LA| vs SA|, otherwise we should play it on gaia.woop, but my ping there is around 270. So if you could fix xenoob that would be great for me.
Thanks.-

If anyone had issues on my server last night, I was implementing new administration features, which took a lot of testing (server rebooting).

I won't be doing this if there is a match in progress. If you need use of the server while I'm modifying stuff, I'll be on IRC, just let me know and I'll hold off.
