AssaultCube 1.2.0.0 Release
Well, I'm not sure about any of the crashes, as I haven't gotten any crashes. I knew older versions of Mac may have issues. But I'd expect 10.6 would work well. Has anyone gotten crashes that runs OSX 10.8?

What happen is that when going back in-game, my old disconnected player remained. This made the scoreboard show my scores twice, which AFAIK shouldn't. I thought I should mention this in case it has something to do with the nature of the random crashing.

Here's a screenshot in case you didn't understand my explanation above and a demo if it helps.

Also this is some code which hopefully explains why the crashing is happening, not sure if it's related with AC though?

This Ronald Reagan, there is problems on 10.8

Mod edit: pointless to reveal publicly an exploit which was already reported and fixed.

Thanks for the update, despite the bugs it's quite nice.

I now know how players from 1.0 felt not from a balance perspective, but from a douche-baggery perspective. It seems that there are far more active cunts in the game now than there was a month or two ago. Not that activity is bad, I dunno, maybe i just need to not play inters or pubs.

So, if I download the 1.2 right now, all those 'bugs' are fixed, or We need to wait a bit more?
Thanks given by:
you need to wait for the next release, of course..
Thanks given by:
Otherwise, you would need to download the SVN (tutorial here!)
Thanks given by:
Oh sorry, I missed that. Thank you.

what if mine is 10.5?

All of you, make sure you aren't running fullscreen as this is a known bug.

Anyone working on a FreeBSD port?

If you could PM me the crash reports, that would help.

Once I've got a bit of time I'll email you the crash logs.
I'll also try to play it in fullscreen on 10.9 Mavericks.

maybe the launcher should default -t option, eh? :P

I love the release ALL. I'm just being patient enough to wait for the other servers to transfer.

My 1.2.0.0 server should be up and running, only problem is that I can't connect to the master server on my MacBook, and that AC on my Mac Pro hasn't even any connection... (Both OS X 10.8 and 10.9)

I've also tested AC fullscreen on 10.9, and i've got the same problem.

Soon I'll mod my server again with the kill sprees and other stuff...

I (and others probably) haven't bothered yet, since a new release will be coming out very soon.

Will this release provide an anti-cheat issue fix? Or maybe it's to server owners to fix it in settings, idk.

No problems here so far.

ronald, have you tried compiling with an older version of xcode? i kinda forget, but i think that was a solution. either an older version of GCC or the other (forgive my noobness, its been awhile)

Yeah, well, I need an older version. I suppose I can try on one of the laptops at work, however that is a process that takes a bit.

Crouching appears to be very bugged atm.
In a few games I'm 100% sure I see some people crouching, yet 90% of the time it's impossible to crouch. This is a really nasty bug affecting the game ATM.

that's why it was fixed a few days ago

You mean Clang?

You can install a lot of older GCC versions through MacPorts.
But it would be strange if another compiler would cause such a bug...

MacPorts is the epitome of bloated. Don't like it at all.
Thanks given by:
Hmm, I use it quite a lot, and love it...
Then you should install Homebrew :)
Thanks given by:
I'm pretty sure that is almost as bloated. Both tend to install packages I already have.

I've been looking in makefiles and other stuff, and tried to think of something that Apple didn't include in 10.8, but that was in OS X in earlier versions.

It's X11 that Apple didn't include anymore, so I guess that could be the problem...
I've tried to install XQuartz, but still got the bug.

I've also noticed that Apple did strange things in 10.8, which make that some executables with shared libs (dylib) got segmentation fault, in the code that the compile adds...

Maybe this helps you a bit, Ronald_Reagen?

I'm not getting an error along the lines of "lag type" that's kicking me out of servers, any idea what this is? I'm literally getting kicked 5-7 times every match.

EDIT: Happened exactly 14 times actually.
