Hey guys.
I've been having this problem as of late; whenever I take a screenshot with the default key (F12) my AC crashes, however the work around i found to this problem is using /screenshot. Though I would like to use F12. Please help.
Also, I cannot take demos. I press F10 and it says, "failed to write [path]."
I'm on windows 8 (very sucky).
Please help!

default bind for F12 is [screenshot].
Copy n paste that, hopefully it'll repair your screenshot ordeal.
As far as the demo paths go, I have no idea (and I don't think there's been a stable release for windows 8). So, good luck.

Did Win 8 fix the Win 7 permission problems? Sounds like it could be one of those.

No, if anything they are probably worse in 8.

Does it still crash if you use

As for demo writing, I couldn't tolerate Win8 for long enough to install AC.

It's most likely what Orynge said, I had a similar problem some time ago caus of no permission to write on AC folder, if that is your case too its an easy fix, just go there and add write permissions to it and you should be good to go.

Thanks jamz, that did it! <3 So grateful.
And I managed to get demos working too, by going deep into AC security settings. Windows 8 is pure bullshit.
