Akimbo is spammed by bots

Cleaner and I are banning for 3 days nonstop. We hope this will get fixed by rytis soon. In the meantime, try to not buy clothes or bonerpills over akimbo. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Unless Viagra becomes suddenly OpenSource don't get it from AKIMBO (btw, AKIMBO is all spelled in capital letters).
Joke aside it is indeed a real pain in the buttock, I have personally deleted around 200 of them in the last few days (as if I had nothing better to do). Our dear friend Rytis who has mighty powers over AKIMBO is currently very hard to get hold off (I mean barely available) so if anyone has any solution on how to get rid of them annoying salesman please come forward. Edit: seems Rytis is on the case coz the forum is actually unavailable so I guess he is working on it. Right, it didn't totally repel them since some aren't bots but real humans (sic) registering so I had to take some drastic measures to sort this out...
On top of a ban on recurrent annoying IPs and some obvious dodgy addresses the like of: @greatmedecineman.net, @new-purse.com, astfmonitor.com and so on I also had to temporarily block @gmail.com, this until Rytis comes in and try to figure out a solution. I had the idea of adding a security question to whom only AC players could answer to: "How do you call a training map?" the answer being "gema", thing is it would restrict the site to AC players only and that is not really what I want, comments and ideas on this are welcomed. I am also doing a big clean up (I'm Cleaner right? lol) on inactive members, some have registered way back in early 2008 and never came back to pay us a visit, some are even old bots who haven't been able to confirm registration... Some people are not using the AKIMBO forum but are going straight onto the Vault to download material, for those doing so even if your account on the forum is deactivated it won't affect your account on the Vault, you will still be able to browse and download as usual (327,256 downloads so far :p ) If your account on the forum is deactivated by mistake just contact one of our moderators with your account details (user name and email used, not your password)

I think a question like "game's initials" (ac) would be a better one but the "gema" idea is also good. :p

How do you upload to akimbo? You have to register? I thought maybe this was the case cause I didn't see an upload button so I tried my forum credentials and it just loaded a blank but very long page.

Read the Packaging Rules for full details on how to upload on AKIMBO. You have indeed to also register to the Vault as it is a separate entity, the long blank page you had is a bug that occurs from time to time, just try again later and if it still don't work get in touch with one of the moderator he will upload your material for you.

It says my email address is not allowed to be used. It also didn't accept "assault cube" for the answer. I had to put "assaultcube". I guess in text is is referred to as AssaultCube but on graphics it is two words. I'd still accept either if it is possible.
