Project Saturn (new fps coming)
#1
Hey AC community, I've been working on a brand new free online FPS. It is under the code 'project saturn' and the features will include:

-Music from real artists under the system that plays them, 'SicK-Player'
-11 guns including the Steyr Aug and the P90
-6 uniquely made maps (3 in the beta)
-Clan system
-Online (obviously)

I will update this soon as I can. When I am finished, I will release a closed beta to some of the most reliable players of AC soon and then an open beta for all of the AC community.

Wish me luck

Cool name and thats alot of guns compared to AC. I hope you answer a few of my questions. :D

Are the maps big?
How many players can be in each match?
What types of game modes are there?
Can discuss some of the features on the clan system?
Is it open source so players may mod it?

The maps will be huge
40 players if i can get the online running correctly
Team deathmatch, 1 man army (Deathmatch), Capture the flag, Conquest (capture territories)
You can use the clan system to create clans (obviously) and recruit. You will have 7 days to recruit atleast 1 member or it will expire
No, for a reason. Because of the hackers

I'll see what it's like, but I'm not ditching AC for it.

Thanks given by:

Like i said, i'm not having it open-source because of the amount of hackers on AC already

Update. I have been reviewing many game engines and the best one i've seen is the leadwerks engine (so far). More soon

I'll also mention that very few hackers look at the forums.
Look down there.

Unity3d seems awesome for making just anything.
But does it not cost to use them ?

Can we steal your weapons wiht license and put them into AC?

Well, if makkE or RandumKiwi asks, i'll discuss it

Just a little question:

What have you made right now?

I mean

Is this a serious project and you've rly worked on it for 1 year or something or are you just a another guy who wants attention?

I don't want to sound like an "butthole", but as far as I can see from your posts, you have just picked the engine you'll use.

I hope you'll clear this up.

I'd also like to know how this is related to AC...
Thanks given by:

Seriously, since you are just about planning to make something, which so far isn't even related to AC, simply don't start threads in here. If you have something to show off, then come back and we'll be happy to provide you with feedback.

Btw, there are development forums for such purposes, not to speak that each engine/tool kit usually is featured with its dedicated forums.

Thanks and good luck!

So far, I have done 3 maps and a few guns which are the dual elites, the M4A1 and a Telsa cannon (which is basically just a big gun with 3 plasma shells).

Well... then I have to admit, that you are far far away from making a game.

Maybe you should stick to games you can support with your weapons/maps (not just AC)
cuz I think you wont finish it (Sorry, but I've seen a lot of game-making attempts, and they all failed. Even when they've been 80% finished...)
Thanks given by:
#25
Well i did plan this for a couple of years but I think I have been spending way too much time searching and doing research and not enough going power
Thanks given by:
#26
How can you have 3 maps, while you just decided which engine to work on 3 days ago? One map per day? I don't think so...
Thanks given by:
#27
I have been spending a lot of time on the maps. I'm more of a perfectionist. And by the way, I has taken me 2 years to design the maps, sketching each and every one of them to complete design and right now, after 7 months, I've only done 3 maps to the exact sketches I have.
Thanks given by:
#28
After 7 months? You said you chose the engine three days ago!
Thanks given by:
#29
That's the point. What did you make those maps on?!

I did have a bit of trouble finding the best one and I do admit that.

I used FPSCreator X10 to make the maps.
