There's Quake 3 on iPod, so port an FPS game is possible and can be quite playable.

Cube is even on iPhone/iPod Touch :D
Personally, I think there would need to be a separate masterserver.

I was thinking of maybe you guys could include a sticky reticule, to help make it a bit easier (disabled in osok ofc). Then you would really need to make a separate MS.

@fleshypod thats a pretty cool interface, but walking and shooting would be a pain in the @$$ for 1 hand/finger to do. i will upload an image of my proposed interface asap
@ipad lovers, iOS=iPad too :)

Oh yes, if anyone's going to do this. Make two joysticks rather than that stupid thing Cube does on iPod. -_-

Personally I say go for it. I would download it, but not sure if i would use it so much because most of the wifi i encounter is at home, which is also where my PC is.
As for being harder to hack, I'm not sure thats true. I currently have a jailbroken Ipod, and ssh and iFile make it pretty easy to mess with installed apps. However, there will probably be less hackers than on PC, because pc is even easier. As for fps on ios, i have played some pretty good ones (archetype is a good example) and i think you should be able to choose your control scheme. seperate servers is probably a good idea too.

Guess they'll have to unlock the iOS version so that it allows headshot aim hacks, just so iOS users stand a snowball's chance in hell. :D I think it sounds like this project will be an interesting experiment at best. However, I wish all the developers of it much luck and success.
