I am not able to kick players, not sure why. It always says invalid reason.

Sometimes, if you start out by typing an invalid reason, it won't take votes from you for a while. It'll give you "invalid vote" instead.

Admins can't kick themselves, and server actually checks if the player is really lagging before it lets you kick. So maybe try some other stupid reason, /kick 2 "why the hell won't you be gone".

I've done that. I've typed everything I can think of, and I wasn't trying to kick myself, I've tested it with other players, both with and without admin.

I dont think many people ever enter the forum.
Also raise the stock gamma settings cuz for me when i start it up first time its so dark that i cant even see what im choosing in the menus.
The game should give a good impression at first start so players just dont give up and find it "messy" and go find another free game.
Good job devs btw i just hope 1.0.4 gets phased out asap so we dont get 2 camps running new and old version like in many other games.

I'm not sure ATM, but there was an issue with "weak reason circumvention" coded by Brahma - it was meant to avoid uneccessary kicking/banning votes .. it didn't provide any feedback and I myself ran into this issue - we've dealt with it though - it /should/ be in 1.1.0.2, if not the next release will have that fixed.

But it is not the case of Dreamer, imo, since the "weak reason blocker" is set as off by default.

You must know there are other means to control the vote abuse.
If you vote three times in a short time, and the three attempts fail, the servers believes you are a vote spammer, and it will block you for the next minutes.
If you insist for 6 times, the server auto kicks you.

EDIT: Anyway, if it is saying "invalid reason" it means you must type at least 4 letters... so "lag" is really invalid reason.

I have tried typing more than 3 characters. I feel as though I have fully tested all options available to me, and still cannot vote. I've tried less characters, more characters, less players, more players, different votes, both with and without admin, and even reinstalled AC, with no luck.

1103 svn is great, but please do 2 more things:

Up the Akimbo reload time by 50% or better 100% (would make sense that reloading 2 pistols takes twice as much time as reloading one, right?), it's a bit too powerful already and it reloads superfast.. I know it's a powerup, but that thing is insane :)

Remove the randomness from LSS: Put either 1 or 2 nades at each spawn always, not randomly 1 or 2. If people spawn next to each other and one goes to the 1 nade spawn and the other to the 2 nade spawn... it's pretty obvious what will happen. If you realllly want to keep the randomness, why not spawn all 2 or all 1 powerups at round start, and then later spawn random 1 or 2 nades, where it is less vital to get the same amount as the enemy. Personally I would prefer to have all 2 nade powerups, since LSS is a game of intelligent spam. If you put only 1 nade you pretty much are forced to hold that nade until you see or very clearly hear the enemy, which slows down the game and lowers the skill level.

And maybe add a command line switch to the client to disable loading the default singleplayer map (I always autoconnect to a server and I think all it does is slow down the start of my AC, and I have to restart often due to the ATI alt+tab bug (everything goes superdark, and no, resetgl is not an option)).

One other small thing: The flags on the small radar are not on the players and also not exactly on the flag bases and I can't get them to be there. (Just try a KTF game too see.)

And then, release 1103 as quickly as possible, it will rock :)

Btw. Dreamer: I think the bug is mac related. Bullet cant connect to passworded servers with his mac, I think some string handling function might be broken there.

Man... ty for your feedback.
Imo, we should put all nade pickups back to 2 (but keep 1 frag, and holding up to 3). Putting just one nade per pick up was not a good idea, tbh.

About the radar issues... We must talk to Toca and Flowtron about this... they are the radar guys (I simply do not understand the code :P)
About the "default singleplayer map", I did not understand (again, I think flowtron is able to help in this).
About the akimbo, well... the idea is to be a power up weapon... it is better to not touch in this, imo.

Check if in your config/admin.cfg file you have the exact entry:
alias kick [ callvote 0 $arg1 $arg2 ]

If you are using the 1.0.4 config files, you will have this "invalid vote" issue.

Genius... I guess I just copied over the entire config file from 1.0.4.

You can enter edit mode while watching a demo and spawn, but are stuck. No weapons and no pickups

MCS I think that's more of a feature than a bug.

Brahma I think 1 nade per pickup is great in all modes but LSS, please don't change it back. It improved fun, gameplay and strategy greatly. I only have a problem with the randomness in LSS, it does not really matter if it's 1 or 2 there, not both :)

I also have no trouble with keeping the akimbo as it is, I only posted about it because I was owning people too hard with it, and they complained and I was thinking about if and why it is too strong and came to the conclusion above.

In a game, since most of the times there is only 1/2 akimbos on the map, most of the times there is less of a chance you will get to pick one up, and getting the privilege of getting some easy kills is worth the wait. Though of course, on clan matches it's way easier to do that, but everyone will know your location.

okay im not sure if this is just me but whenever i die my AC game freezes and i cant exit out or minimize it (completely). I have tried restarting my computer and this still occured several times.
