Maybe a simple name like 'Lockdown' would work?
...other than a two or three word name such as ' Team Base Defence'

I second 'Domination'. Also, Base Capture or 'basecap'.
It's been called Domination since the 90s, why change it now.

Baseballcap sounds good. Domination and Control Points could be good too.
King of the Hill usually suggests that there is one CP, so probably not that. 
CTB: Capture The Base like 3 letters modes (CTF...).
or we have also; CTP: Capture The Point always like 3 letters modes (CTF...). We can add "Regen" as: RCTB / RCTP like 5 letters modes (TOSOK...).

I like "Lock Down" as a few people previously suggested. No other game uses a name like that.

I think lockdown sounds a bit cheesy and stupid, plus AC already uses the gamemode CTF (Capture the Flag) which I'm sure isn't original. I don't think there should be a law stating that we can't use similar names to modes in other games.

"Capture the Base" (aka CTB) is an already existing mod, it's diferent but it was also made by Lucas.
I guess we should pick another name than CTB for this reason.

You should pick something that can either be abbreviated (CTF, DM, etc.) or shortened (surv) for voting purposes.
Domination is cool, but I'm not sure how you'd shorten that. /vote dom ? (lol) For this reason CTB isn't a bad idea. Or if you want to combine 2 favorites you could do Base Conquest/Capture, which could be appreviated as BC (not to be confused with the old clan).
