Request the video recording menu-Insert AC
#1
Hello everyone, thank you for accepting me in your forum, and I thank the developers of AC for the remarkable development carried out over the years from the first time I played CUBE and then see it in this great evolution for me is a right way followed by you to be an emulator semi realistic strategic battle, the choice of using weapons and ammunition reloading times emulating the real weapons. and the behavior of the gamplayer is excellent approaches to reality.

I hope that my request is not too excessive and to add the menu to AC, a video recording in AVI or Mp4, this would facilitate the sharing of web videos of games between individual players, Clan, and facilitate the creation of tutorial creation maps, I think it is a great tool for industry professionals in the work of development, designers mod.

good job.

well, to create maps. Please, read the docs. about the video encoding. I don't know if is possible whit the game engine.

EDIT: many players use external screen capture software such like 'recordmydektop', 'canstudio', etc.

Good idea. I agree with ye there.

I don't think that the engine could handle this at all, you'll most likely need to use an external program, like MPx said. Another two examples are FRAPS and OBS.

FRAPS is kinda laggy when you try to record, but it works

If you set it well, it's not laggy at all, you just have around ~10 fps and some random hit drops.

@MPx
"Camtasia Studio" doesn't work for PC games, i used it for creating my own tutorials of graphic design, i tried it in AC and you can't see the recorded video, but that happened in my computer... I don't know if it's a common error.

@ExodusS
Tell me more about setting it, sounds interesting for me :)

BTW: I meant you lose ~10 fps but it's more 15/20 in fact (I just tested it).
All you have to do is to separate your HDD in two and dedicate the small part to Fraps only. Something like 50gb dedicated to Fraps is enough to hold ~an hour of recording in full screen (it depends of your screen and how you record, full/halfscreen + the fps you want, 25, 50, 60 or custom) but Fraps create a new file each time the recording file reach ~3gb.
