1.1 lag spikes

Wondering if anyone can help me out.

I never really got any lag spikes in 1.0, but now for some reason every now and then I get huge lag spikes, people skip, and everyones ping/pj goes massive for a couple of seconds. Really annoying, and I only have this problem with 1.1 as I play both.

I have Windows Zero Configuration on (or off, whichever stops the interval network search) so thats not it. Any ideas?

I get that, must be the Australians(I am australian to). It annoys me when I am about to kill someone and BANG, there 20 feet away :p

It happens to me a bit. I got used to it after about a week though.

I think it would have to be a coincidence with your ISP cactus, I dont quite know how AC could make ping spikes :|

Try playing around with values for smoothmove and smoothdist until things feel the most comfortable. Unfortunately, as long as there is lag, lag spikes will never be fully smoothed out.
