Tried CSL still no master server

Always had that problem. Tried different things and followed bretts guide still failed.

Doesn't the Servers Patch need a version update?

MS domain's changed to ms.cubers.net.
Also, we will not guarantee that the masterserver is compatible with CSL as it is any longer.

so there is no alternative solution besides CSL? Can a player revert to 1.0.4?

It should still be compatible, but may not be for much longer. If you just downloaded it, that would probably be the reason why. There are two download links out there, one works, the other doesn't. If you supply me with the one you use I could try to find the other.

Do you mean CSL has 2 possible downloads or Assault Cube (1.1 or 1.2)? there is no way to go into the source files of AC folders and change some things to make it work? I'm sure something must have been found in the forums.
