I've used Opera for a long time, but lately it seems to choke on script-heavy sites, so I'm thinking of changing to Chromium.

Or maybe it's not scripts; the Huffington Post seems to hang the browser even with JS disabled. No idea.

What the fuck kind of computer do you have that can't run Chrome or Opera?

Cute, XRD, but all those threads are closed, and so they represent a dated and frozen view of the community. A new thread is needed to determine the preferences of the present user base. ;o

Polls are saying Chrome, but in fact, FireFox wins by far.

They both use Blink engine now. Practically the same browser with minor changes.
So I use Firefox now. :D

Worldwide stats for Desktop Browsers go like this currently.
1) Chrome
2) Internet Explorer
3) Firefox
4) Safari
5) Opera

What exactly is "fast"? Because FireFox is as fast as Chrome, but FireFox is better for some reasons lol.

I just like the simplicity and layout, that's what makes it "fast" for me (:
Quick and easy to navigate, nothing to do with response time.

Chrome.
Its the simple interface that attracts me, I don't like all the shit Opera has on it. And I can't be bothered trying firefox, I'm doing fine with chrome!

Oh, I see. Chromium doesn't reproduce the problem that Opera consistently does, so I guess it isn't the engine.

Maybe I'll use xombrero. Mm, mm, webkit and vi bindings.

Chrome, although I'm starting to think it is a memory hog. More tabs = more memory (ofc), but I think I could probably use a browser with less of a footprint.

For me Chrome has the lowest footprint.

I use Opera for browsing, FireFox as my main development browser, and I have 4-5 other browsers installed for website testing.

Many people are so bad at internet, they think IE is internet, this is why it's in the top 3, people don't even know there are different possible browsers or they just don't care about it. (my parents are great exemples)
