Which web browser do you prefer, and why?
#1
I personally use Chrome because, well, a lot of my friends started using it when it launched, and once I realized how little disk space it took up and how simple and fast it was, I decided to hop on board. Looks like it has become the most popular web browser, too. Previously, I used Firefox.

How about you?

I use Firefox because Chrome has privacy problems, and firefox seems faster to me, its more responsive than chrome, i really dont care about how it starts up more slowly.

Rockmelt <3... It's like Chrome, just better :) U got facebook in ur browser in a way, pretty cool actually... Also u have these so called "apps" on one of the sides, so it tells u if (for example) there is a new meme/ragecomic/what ever on 9gag, new stories on facebook, and more... On the other side there is the facebook chat, which I find kinda usefull...
Donwload rockmelt here <3

I am a FireFox user. Been using it for quite a while now and am still rather satisfied. It has everything I need and isn't tied to a multimillion hoard-the-intranetz company.

If you close your browser with multiple tabs and later restore them, they won't load all at once till you revisit the tab, you can save 9 of your most visited sites - set them to display as your home page - or disable it all together, there's another tab organization feature which acts like a clip board, add-ons are a breeze, ad-block.... ftw, built in page tools, sleek and custom skins/themes that mesh with any tool bars that you use, for me it loads anything as fast as the web host can send the data and opens from a cold start in well less than a second, privacy settings are amazing and you can set them in any way you could want to think of, and blah blah. I won't be switching to any other browser any time soon :)

IE is IE.
Safari is Safari.

Used Conkeror for a while. XULRunner-based browser controlled by keyboard primarily. That was cool but other parts weren't so smooth. Went back to Opera.

I've used Chrome so I'm not being a complete biased dick, but I am way more used to FireFox and I find FF to be the browser that just suits me better. I honestly think it's just a personal preference where I also believe that FF and GC are both equally fast web browsers. I don't care what browser is more popular, use what you like and what works for you. I almost want to root for opera users, lol.

I use all the mainstream browsers Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
From a web development point of view you need to know the ins and outs of each browser.
However on a casual basis I will stick to my fav which is Firefox. I have been using it for yonks

I find IE has its little quirks when it tries to read the styling of a web page, then Chrome will just not load or view information if its not been enabled (Once configured correctly its fine but it breaks too easy). Safari is good nice and clean but not a lot of sites make the effort to code for this browser so there are a lot of information out of place. Opera well its all wonders there, it will through a nice surprise when you least expect it.

I do try to switch to the others however I keep finding I go back to Firefox after a week or two, I just feel adjusted to it and kinda grown fond of using this browser its the browser for me.

So Firefox it is for me.

Rofl :D

Nah, in fact I prefer FireFox but Chrome follows flash/java updates faster, i won't wait a week before FF fix bugs from external updates like this.

btw: EE, 2 users here? maybe virus voted for them. :P
