Amen to that. Whithout these whiners the forums wouldn't be half has fun to read through.

Happens. It happens everywhere before or later.
A good thing is created, and everyone agrees on that, but when changes become more and more and more a part of the community starts to dislike the thing, until it becomes 'hate'. Now it's more noticeable due to the big changes that have been made, and of course, haters become more because there are more players.
This may end up in 3 ways:
Haters start to appreciate the new changes (bad or not) and everything gets back to normality again
Haters won't appreciate the new changes and they will leave until good changes come, or forever
Haters create a new project as a fork of AssaultCube

This last one is the least probable, but the most interesting.
