I look at this poll, shake my head and say "Oh dear, those poor lambs to the slaughter. They actually brought that shite".
I have a Toshiba A300 (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 | Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 - I prefer AMD over nVidia anyday). http://www.notebookcheck.net/Toshiba-Sat...494.0.html
Loaded with the latest version of Fedora Linux. Gnome3 ftw: http://i.imgur.com/Ua2Jv.png

I enjoy it. However, admittingly, I had to install a lot of add-ons and change preferences to get it working exactly the way I like.

A lenovo laptop. I'm not much of a specs man. I'm impressed so many people make their own computers, I'd probably do that if I had the time and money and the slightest clue how people learn to do it.

eMachine T5246.
Os: Windows XP Home Edition.
Cpu: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Processor 4200+
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 (updated)
400GB Hard Drive
2GB DDR2 Dual Channel
15-in-1 Memory Card Reader
DVD+/-R/W/Ram /CD-R/W disc drive. (Meaning I can burn CD's and DVD's)
...and a currently unused expansion slot! ♪ ♫
With the settings I made to ac, I can get around 120fps on most maps, sometimes even more. (If there's not a lot of shit to slow it down in the map like in Headshot city...)
EDIT: Downgraded from Vista Home Premium to XP. 12/17/12

The computers in the labs at my university all run gentoo with KDE and whenever I every for some reason try to resize konsole (default terminal program with it), everything freezes and I end up having to manually shut down the computer and rebooting. What makes it even worse is that by default, it is a really small window (probably around 640x480).

So, I've got myself a new desktop PC:
* Intel Core i7 4770k (3.5ghz quad-core, unlocked).
* Scythe Kabuto II (I don't trust water cooling).
* Asus Maximus VI Hero (LGA 1550, z87 chipset).
* Sapphire/AMD HD 7950 (comes with a massive fan/heatsink on it).
* 2x 8GB ram (at 1600mhz).
* 1x SSD and 1x HDD.
* Seasonic 850w PSU.
The idea behind this PC, is to buy high-spec'd parts that can be overclocked, run it as is for a couple of years until software requires faster hardware, then overclock and/or add crossfire/etc to it.
