How to install the AC 1.1 on Ubuntu?

when i tried to install from the terminal or Ubuntu software center it always download the 1.0.4 version, how i can get the new AC?

Try this link:
AssaultCube_v1.1.0.1.tar.bz2
(admin-edit: changed "code"-block to URL .. better, don't you think?)

You can download it and run it from the folder after extracting the .tar.bz2.
Just click the "assaultcube.sh" file.

This is for a older version so you have to change some commands to apply to 1.1.

2)Untar
3) Run and have fun!

4) If you have any weird problems, recompile
5) Run the install thingy to create a shortcut on your desktop.
6) Try not to notice the huge !TEST BUILD!
