assault cube works fine on
my other computer works no problem on same wifi hotspot... but I did just read on Wikipedia about ip addresses... and was informed that individual devices were assigned ip addresses.

Hi, just a little extra info Ubuntu ships with a firewall but by default its disabled in most releases. To check this disable it by turning it off, the firewall is called ufw, enter "sudo ufw disable" and that should stop it, see if that fixes the problem if it does then look at creating an exception.
