Is it possible to change your hitsound

Is it possible to change the hitsound or would this be considered cheating. I just feel like i can't always hear the hitsound. If it is ok, anyone have any good links for these?

A lot of 'pros' change every sound in the game, so I wouldn't see why not. D:

i use the quake hitsound. I made a post awhile back regarding modded sounds, if you can find it, it has a few really great responses. make sure to observe licenses when distributing and such. If you look up "quak hitsound," you should find something that may be more to your liking.

I use the Quake hitsound. I know it's purely psychological but the hitreg feels nicer to me. I highly recommend it.
