Hmm at a quick glance no Bundesliga or Serie A fans here? Surprising.
Spin-off:
Who will qualify from their groups in the Euros and who will win the tournament?
Group A: Group B: Group C: Group D:
Russia Germany Spain England
Czech Rep Denmark Croatia France
I can't emphasise how much better that looked writing it and in edit.
Russia have been the best team for me. Disappointed by Netherland's, Germany's and Portugal's performances in the competition so far. So despite them not having played in this competition yet my favourites to win are Spain. That could change by tonight though.

great and intense match between italy and spain. imo the best match in the tournament so far.

russia was very impressive and is one of my candidates for the semifinals.

Hellspell, don't judge things by their first match. Portugal, although having lost, showed great consistence and a capable defense. There's still a lot to play. To me either Italy and Spain seem like the strongest teams so far.

I already bet on Germany, so let's hope they reach the finals. I don't see Spain making it to the finals this year though, I feel it will either be Italy, Holland, or perhaps Russia.

I'm prepared to re-judge after every match. It's merely first impressions.
I'm surprised you and Wolf think so much of Italy, I wasn't really impressed by them myself. Spain weren't much better though.

You're wasting your time by these predictions. Spain lost against Switzerland in their first match in World Cup 2010 yet they managed to be victorious throughout tournament after it.

I thought that was funny but then I realised if Australia could play Blyth Spartans they'd win 33-0

I agree Germany to win, Netherlands are too weak at the back as Denmark exposed for us I feel. However the win is more important for Netherlands so that may affect how they play and the outcome. Will they rise to it or crumble under it. My gut feeling is the Germans always win in the end.

Netherlands-Germany is going to be an interesting match. I'll be rooting or Germany.
Let's see if Portugal is able to beat Denmark.

Well, lately i've been fascinated by Mario Gomez. He's exactly what Portugal needs.

looks like a really good player, i'm suspicious about whether he can perform when it matters however (v chelsea)

there was a huge discussion here about Gomez in the press after the first match against portugal. i didn't expect that awesome breakthrough. hopefully he can hold that level through the tournament.
intense match yesterday, england is always entertaining. ^^ sad to see sweden go, imo they have to make a change now and kick that lazy ass ibrahimovic out. he is completely out of place and far away from being a team player.

He might be selfish and lazy but he's still Sweden's best player, even if he is just a shit Andy Carroll.
Can anyone believe the result of group A? I was going to say it was almost a tragedy for football that Greece and Russia got out but then I remembered who stole our world cup. I'm still not happy Greece have got through, they play the worst football I have ever witnessed. The 2012 phenomenon might just come true if they manage to win the Euros again.
