Hi all, being an old git I have played a few fps games in my time and some used transporter pads in maps to liven the game up a bit, just wondered has anyone thought of using simular in AC?
It would add a new dimension to some old maps and might encourage some interesting developments, one i used to particulaly like was the sniping position only accessable through a transporter pad..
what do you all think?

Lucas actually made something like that for the Matrix mod (good old times :') )

Meh, i don't think it fits in AC gameplay.

People have though of it for sure, they were removed from cube to make AC :D

Sort of like c4ru$' portal mod.
Sounds lile a good idea but it would deffo involve modding the client

IIRC, Sauerbraten (Cube 2) has teleporters also. AC strikes me as a more life-based game though. I wouldn't recommend adding them to AC but there are plenty of other FPS games that have them.

Then it would really become a melee game because of campers standing next to the pads to run away from bullet fire...
