im new to ac and i think it would be awesome to have rank insignia when we reach a certain score we rank up, we should have rank insignia next to are names on the score board if you are a fps game player u know what im talking about

there will not be any "leveling up" in AC. I have had some musings (read: thoughts) on insignia though - in conjunction with AUTH and with in-game roles. See AssaultCubeRank for an unfinished breakdown of how that might "look".
The in-game roles I was speaking of would be primarily the difference between a Sergeant (SGT) and his Corporals (CPL) (or Privates (PVT)) .. basically all this is supposed to do is identify the one person in the team allowed to give orders .. but that's something only the future will show - if and how it will be implemented.
There will not be any form of progressive improvement for your "character" - all the "power" it has is your skill. End of story.
