I think the only problem players could come up using this scope is the lack of visibility...

Ok.. so boy_bacon...

First I would apply a Gaussian Blur to your png BEFORE making the crosshairs.

Next I would scale the opacity of the blood down so its "semi"-transparent. edit: you could also do a color-to alpha for black so you retain the deeper red but get some transparency.

I like it though, nice job.

I'd turn the specularity on those blood drops down a lot. See, if that blood is on the outer lens of the scope, the "flat side" of the drops is turned towards you.

Btw, am I the only one thinking some brit is complaining about the scope whenever I read the thread title? :D

Simple, you run out of ammo and must resort to physically beating the living fecal out of your opponent with your sniper rifle. I's obvious how it gets there.

You know, you can just make your own. I simply use layers, transparent areas, blood images (from Google images), and Assault cube scopes (also Google pics), so you could probably make your own bloody scope, or put whatever things you want on the lens.
