I've been trying to play AC on my Fedora partition, but I have been having quite a bit of trouble. The gamma is set to something ridiculously low and I can't see anything when I'm in some maps like ac_mines. If someone could help me, I would be very gracious.

I first tried adjusting it like that but it didn't work.

Most likely an issue with the drivers, try different/older/newer ones to see if they work.
