I've seen it happen before, where a person thinks they're typing in the server password to get admin and really they're saying it out loud.
Is there some way to block "setadmin 1/0 (password)" for being said in the chat? If there isn't, is there a way to add this in to the next AC version?

Use a script to claim admin on all servers you have admin pw for.
Personally i just press 0 (zero) to get admin and 0 again to log out off admin.
Where this script is atm i have no idea.
Look in the " Scripts" thread or on Akimbo (when it gets up).
If not i can provide the one i use via PM or something.

Or you could just bind it to a key if you only have 1 password add
Quote:bind "p" [setadmin 1 password]
to your autoexec.cfg file and then press p to clam admin.

I'm aware of the script and all, but I'm talking about a way to block the server's password for being said in public chat. It would be something nice to have, just in case

Yes it would.
Or always use / on num-pad so you dont need to press shift + 7 and f**k up.
Maybe the devs should think about adding the claimadmin script by default.
So all you have to do to make use if it is add the IPs, passwords and key-bind.

try to block everything with "setadmin 1 xxx"

I just use aliases (for example, $adm_woop, $adm_bob etc.) i still type the command but there's no problem if I fail
(TIP : add setadmin to your forbidden.cfg)

Josiah, you have a very nice idea. Maybe server owners can have a switch for that.

yeah, this isn't a hard problem to solve. AC already has the capability to filter out words. you could put anything you want in there, even 'gg'

It works by me pressing a button to execute it.
And it dose it job.
If it didnt it would not been used by anyone.
