How does someone frag me with one shot?

the other day, I was walking and someone fragged me. (note: this was NOT a headshot.) I had 100% health and they used an assault rifle using only a burst of five shots. I can never do that. So can anyone tell me how to do that?

With no armour the AR takes 5 rounds to kill in just under half a second. It's that simple. Be thankful you weren't on 96hp; you'd have died in only 4 rounds.

the best way not to get killed quickly is to move around ALOT!
try straifing in the most daft way possible. you will pick it up.

Hey, this brings up a question I've had.
Sometimes, with 100 health, I get hit by a single shot with a shotgun and it frags (not splatters) me. Is that normal and expected?

if the client lags (in this case, you), you may feel it was an one shot hit...

the shotgun splatters only when it produces max damage... if the attacker miss one part (but still doing 100 of damage), it just frags

Pretty much this. Sometimes if you can tell your opponent is experienced, it helps to act more simply, like strafing just side to side or stopping dead for a moment to throw them off. Change direction a lot.

maybe you had your armor on backwards, so it amplified the damage instead of reducing it.

I sometimes get hit by 5 bullets at once because of lag. :P
