Hey guys, I'm waiting for 1.1.0.5 to play again because I just can't compete against good players when only 3 out of 5 hits actually registers for me. So I check the repository every day, but it doesn't look like any new development has been done for many weeks -- just updates to the website. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I was wondering if you had any idea when an updated version might be coming out or where I should check to follow the status.

Sebacious... why only 3 of 5 hits are registered for you? Do you lag all the time? What is wrong with your client/side?

The current anticheat is very permissive... so permissive that it is allowing headshots in the knee without major complains. Help me to understand what is happening to you.

Get the SVN, follow along and test with us (as morse said, don't compile as the bins are newer than the sources). It won't be too hard trying to find a match in #assaultcube; try asking apanda.

Not true, newest update is just 34 hours old ...

I've spent all of 1.1 trying to figure this out. I don't lag (according to the interface), but the performance definitely varies per server (Mys german servers being the worst, I'm in USA)

i turn the sound off my guns and turn the hit beep on. I can literally stand an inch from someone and not hit them with an entire clip of akimbo or direct shotgun blast.

But not every time, so in pubs it doesn't matter. But that just doesn't fly in clan matches.

I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

Sorry sebacious, there are no mac packages at this moment. Mac packages aren't usually made for every major svn commit or change, but perhaps someone in the community could do it for you.

it seems bullet reg is a growing problem, i know for a fact mine isn't packet loss, for me if i can get 4Mbps all my bullets reg fine, but unfortunately i usually get 2-2.5Mbps and my reg is poor

I get that same problem too. But I just shrug it off as lag, since it only sometimes ever does happen when I play on a server far away from me, and have 300+ ping.

Here you can download a demo of it happening to me with 138 ping. It starts to get bad with about 8 minutes left.

This post is to generally say "me too".

I quite frequently see poor bullet registry with high PJ and even ping somewhat. I'd rather the anti-cheat was more permissive than legitimate players were penalised at all. Sometimes I suspect it's the server lagging rather than the players and I believe it's been said that the anti-cheat performs poorly in those situations. I'd also add I don't think such issues were present in 1.04.

Brahma, would it be possible for SVN builds to keep a counter (by the FPS counter) of any bullets denied by the anti-cheat? This would be a concrete method for people to work out what conditions, servers and players it happens most with.

With spread atm, it's quite tricky to be 100% sure all the time.
