Could you post a link to one that has reload animation? I'm pretty sure that the reload animation of the gun lowering out of sight is a default thing. The closest thing i have seen is oldman's mosin nagant (which is beautiful)

Another idea (I'm full of them) is to have the weapons name in the config file or maybe a text file in the menu folder, so that when you have a mod, it will change the name in the menu to the name of the mod. Not a biggie, but it seems pretty simple.

Some people have been suggesting that there should be a Search and Destroy game mode.

What if, instead of blowing up a target, you had to bring the enemy flag back.
It would be as if Team Survivor and Capture the Flag had a baby. :D

BTW, rounds, and spawn with any weapon and 100 health.

I was just reading the ideas list, and i got a few more ideas.
-regarding "jumping on nades to save teammates":
could you make nades shoot out a bunch of "bullets" in every direction, instead of an explosion area? this would also solve nades killing people thru walls. This might strain the client and the connection, however, as it might have trouble reporting so many hits at once.

-regarding "new weapons":
put the revolver up. I think it is a good enough idea to be put up there, especially since people have already started sketching out stats for it, and they sound good. It's kinda already covered by "new sidearm", but i think we can put it up as it's own entity.

sorry if this is in the wrong thread, i realize that my nade idea is more of "how to implement" than "new idea", but i thought i should put it somewhere before i forgot it.

Lantry, the nade idea is an interesting one. But you are right about the possible strain.
The revolver has either not been suggested, or not suggested in a coherent way before the last update. Next update will have it.

This has been suggested by a lot of people and i completely agree with some concept along those lines. Some people (can't remember names but i think mael) have suggested that there be a mode where you have to run a flag from your base to the other side of the map. It sounds fun. :P

like a reverse capture the flag, where you score by bringing your flag to the enemy's flag. I think it should be like CTF, where the flag must be at it's spawn to score. this would be harder, but just bringing it to the enemy's flag spawn might end up as a rifle sprint race.

Isn't that just ctf? Whats the point if both teams are trying to run to the enemy base...thats even easier than ctf. Unless only one team gets to run the flag at a time, then all the other team would have to do is camp. Can someone please elaborate and explain this mode better?

Suggestion: A way to integrate cubescript into the HUD more. Like pop-up messages or statboxes similar to /accuracy. (popup usage could be like echo, statbox like menus)

Also, that hybrid TSURV/CTF idea is freaking awesome!

Like what if you had to make an account to play AC. The more you play, you rank up higher and higher. And you can be ranked on your account information. Like on your account it would say you are the number 6 player in AC. It could say your overall ratio on your nickname too. And this might help with cheaters, if you were to click on someone else's name, you could see like their information including ratio, time played and you can even have a "Report Cheater" button so it would be much easier to catch hackers/cheaters. People can add onto this thought if they want to.

Why should it? There aren't many locations in AC maps that you could fall from and feasibly injure yourself in reality. Then there's the question of does it even add anything to the game or is it just a mindless feature?

The point of the game isn't to mimic reality, it is to be fun.

I dont know if this has been suggested before, but maybe more information in the serverlog/console output, such as if a map vote passes then output that it has actually passed and if a player changes team or moves into spectator mode, then show that in the logs as well. These would make parsing the logs so much easier, at least for non-coders like me :)
