Ideas
If you're going to do that move all stats to the same side. There's no reason to have players glancing back and forth across their screens.

Agreed.

My attempt at a list (sorry if i've mentioned somebody else's idea...)

- Reload animations; even some movement with the hand so that it "looks" like a reload would be nice.
- Show the gun in spectator mode.
- Actually zoom when the person you are spectating scopes.
- A "visual" equivalent to the hit sound. (maybe some crosshair effect?)
- In-game option to close console window on quit
- Smoother transition between scoped and not scoped. (smooth zoom-in/zoom-out)
- Quickknife (could be like quicknade: hold middle mouse button and click)
- Ability to use menus with mouse (?)
- Easier way to tell whether a map is approaching restrictions, such as popup messages when you are running out of cubes, or when you place pickups too close to each other.

To close the console window, you can edit the launcher for that (I assume Windows for you): Remove the "pause" at the end of assaultcube.bat.

Quicknife: you can make a bind for that
bind q [ if $editing [ domodifier 1 ] [melee; attack]]
for example

Why isn't there a friggin' thanks button for stuff like this? That console window has drove me insane for EVER.

And yeah, 'bout the quickknife thing; I totally forgot about cubescript. Still though, some of these binds really ought to be made default. It's a simple change, but it could really affect gameplay in OSOK when you need to knife after shooting.

P90 with a reddot scope :D or W1200 and on the P90 you can scope. :D and you master modders could do a iron scope for the AR and a little circle with a lil metal piece going vertical but only halfway up for the Sub-gun. And I tried the P90 on Akimbo but I hate dealing with .rar files can someone do one in a .zip file?

or maybe something like a friends list or something off to the side when you browse servers to see your friends online or show everyone online with their respective countries flag just for looks because 'F2' really gets in the way when browsing and searching for your friends. The list could have the server they are currently in over their name, or something this is just my $0.02 xP

Yeah, more like a rep system.

The pause is there to let you catch up on any chat or console messages, such as some website or an IP address from a whois.

I'll be glad to see our weapon models some more modern, add some colimator skopes(this round glass thing with red dot in the middle) and laser pointers. Only for fancy look, not for zoom of course.

Oh 'twas a bot. That explains.

Hey, that bot knows about a secret devs room "section 3" in ac_depot! We're doomed!

Don't know if any has made this or not but what about an M16/M203 combo that uses the carbine for the M16 and the granades for the M203?
Thanks given by:
No, you won't get your noob tube.

I like the concept, but I think it's been requested before and the consensus was to leave that to modders. I think I would crap myself out of joy if someone made a good looking mod that added a "grenade launcher" looking attachment and animation to the AR.

was not thinking about a noob tube, was thinking of linking the two options together (ie: canceling out the thrown granade and using the 203 instead) as for being a noob, yes I am, and am enjoying learning how to become better at mapping and playing.
Thanks given by:
Oh, you mean just a different model for the grenades and AR, not an actual new weapon? Well, that's another story.

Btw, I didn't call you a noob...

I think this is a great idea. It wouldn't need to be anything complicated, just a simple real time notification if the current map you're working on fails the test, and the reason if that's the case.

I wish for ladder entities that are only climbable if there is a wall or clip present. Doesn't have to replace the current entity. There could be a ladder entity and a "rope" entity; the ladder requires a surface to support it while "ropes" are capable of being climbed without support(In other words, the current ladder entity becomes rope entity).

When the number of players/bots is equaled or exceeded by the number of spawns for their respective teams, specify that no two spawn at the same spot.

I like VenteX's idea about maybe adding the ability to use the mouse in the menus instead of having to use the arrow keys.
Thanks given by:
The mousewheel works for scrolling. The only advantage I see to enabling cursor interaction is you can move sliders more easily.

i would like to see a way to format quotes and brackets like /" /[ /(
in the incoming versions.
ty :)
Thanks given by:
Format?
Thanks given by:
I'm also confused by your question. Do you mean the ability to use quotes and brackets without their "special" meaning? If so, I'm pretty sure you can already do that:
  • \"blahblahblah\"
  • \[blahblahblah\]
  • \(blahblahblah\)
You just need to use backslashes instead of forward slashes.

I don't think you can do it in names though. aCKa use the tag [aCKa]. When settings are saved, the player's name is saved as "[aCKa]Name" but will show up as [aCKa].

Wasn't that fixed in 1.1? I think player names are stored as "[aCKa]Name" instead of [[aCKa]Name] exactly for that reason?
