Ubuntu Help

Basically a problem running Assault cube 1.1.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

AC ran fine on my ATI Radeon HD 4200. I then had some problems with some of the drivers and had to uninstall and then then reinstall.

Now AC won't run at all. I could continue using the Windows version, but I prefer Linux. Basically this is what Terminal spat back out:

konky@konky-laptop:~/Desktop/1.1.0.1$ ./assaultcube.sh
Using home directory: /home/konky/.assaultcube_v1.1
current locale: en_GB.utf8
init: sdl
init: net
init: world
init: video: sdl
init: video: mode
stacktrace:

AssaultCube error (11) ()

Help would be VERY, VERY gratefully received.

As for segmentation faults, my limited game programming experience with SDL tells me is that the application is accessing something it's not supposed to.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe if you upgrade your graphs card, it get fixed.

Please check whether you're falling victim to the "libjpeg.so.8 bug" - see this old posting on the 1.1.0.0 release for a work-around-fix: first post, above and below the second code-block.

Like Brahma says: upgrade your graphiccard driver.
AC works fin on my Ubuntu 10.04 with HD 2400 Pro card.

Look in Hardware Drivers. (System -> Admin).
