AssaultCube IPHONE 4?
#1
As most of you know, Iphone 4 has an awesome feature, the Gyroscope.
And watching this Iphone4 GAME... makes me think maybe someday we can run AC on IPHONE 4, that will be amazing.
PS: Let's add some spare panties too titiPT

IIRC there was someone on IRC who was willing to do it, I've only seen him once and unfortunately my only witness was Elise(who is apparently still on holiday), but if I have Cube (the game which has the engine AC runs on) then it really shouldn't be difficult to port to iOS.

I don´t think so, should be harder to port it as there are new dependencies like gettext.

I actually remember someone in IRC asking about the game, It seemed like he was working around library dependencies.

Bt then ti should be iPhone vs iPhone. AC would be fun on the PS3 also. But since Cube is on the iPhone somebody can take a look at that source or maybe have the creator of that port AC to the iPhone too.

Actually, the extra deps wouldn't really be a problem. A jailbreak might be needed; if you jailbreak, you end up with a Debian package system which can resolve dependencies IIRC. All that's needed for the prerequisites is the compiled binaries in the same repository as the game.

My concern is willingness to develop it, CPU power (although with the 4G I don't know if that will be an issue now), and ability to develop it.

P.S. I think the arch is ARM if anyone wondered. But I think that was pretty common knowledge.
