Everyone say "AlienWare is expensive" but it's less than Apple product, just compare MacBook-Pro with AW M14x, then compare prices, the Alienware is 800$ less and he's better, and you are not dependant to the Apple products, you can play to games for Windows. ;p

It's only really true that Apple are overpriced if you put little value in solid construction, having a good screen, good touchpad and keyboard, quiet fan, elegant design. Good ultrabooks with Linux are becoming great competitors though.

Alienware isn't cheap either, there are way better gaming machines than an M14x for less. Here's a good example: the Medion ERAZER X7813 with a better processor, better graphics card, larger screen, bluray drive vs the M14x's regular drive, etc...

Alienware is beatable by price for specs, but it also beats many competitors with price too, along with being very sexy. So in the middle for price. :3
