So i had myself a FFA game today for a change. I was doing really well and everything then suddenly i got an awesome mid air headshot. so i saved the demo for another look but this is what i saw when i viewed it
Now, in the game the crosshair was right on his face no question but that is what happened when i viewed the demo. There was also no lag anywhere.
So this is my question, are these demos acurate?

Demos are the view of the server of what happened, not what you saw on your computer.

ahhh right. but then what if someone called hax on me?
They could say "look at this demo, he missed and still got a HS"

All of my sniper demos end up this way. I say we blame jamz.

True.
So what if someone posted this in the BL thread for example? Would i get BL'd on account of the 'servers view'?

Nope. Pretty sure no-one is stupid enough to actually say that is solid proof, plus I'm pretty sure it is common knowledge that the crosshair isn't exactly "perfect" in demos. Unless obviously you have low ping.

Yep, that isn't obvious proof.

jamz is good at busting these lag-shots (as this thing is caused by lag).
The key thing to spotting aimbox modifications like this is consistency, and an abundance of headshots.
He does have one redeeming quality I guess ;)

Well you indeed shot where his head was a mere second before or less so lag would be the obvious answer and as said, it would have to be continually bizarre before its hax.

You used hax, then recorded it and pretended to look honest while hacking. Nice try Myke, we got you!
(nah seriously, it's all about lag)
