my ping sucks

I share one dsl connection with my whole family, and if even one other person is just checking their email, it goes over a thousand. The funny thing is, it goes from good to horrible and back again really fast. I am at a losss as to what to do. My dad wont change to cable, so thats not an option. If anyone has a suggestion, please suggest, thanks.

However, I feel your pain people. I can't playon any server after about 8.30 pm due to lag.

I can't play on any server past 12am due to lag. I play anyway. It's how I roll.
I can't play these days because too much lagging and ping greater than 3000ms.

gutted on you lot. I get a good connection most times. but my internet used to be horible, that one of the reasons i started playing AC

Get better internet and play on servers that are closer to you.

Jokes, that would make you lag more However, find if there is a certain time when it affects you most. Don't play then. Also, play more when you are alone and less when you are surrounded by people.

Could be a number of things.
Need a new router. Connected to sub-exchange. Wireless connection is crap. .. and the obvious like server is too far away, your internet just plainly sucks. I suggest you email your ISP inquiring about 'bad latency times' if it's that bad. They'll probably just say some shit like 'this will happen if more than one person uses the connection' though. |
