Of course, if makkE really didn't want players using that name, he could have hard-coded a restriction on it (maybe with a little help), so it's hardly a major crime. Although, it's different if he was claiming to have made the map or something in the game...which reminds me of this:

Good rule of thumb:

a) Most devs don't use their real names in games, unless they set up a match on IRC before coming to the server.
b) There are exceptions, we do use our real names from time to time, and a few devs use their real names most times, if you're unsure, connect to IRC and check.

would there be a problem changing your nick to something that goes into the autoexec. so you cant change it (that easily)
it would prevent too many cases of impersonation by noobs but still allowing pro players to change their name as often as they like.
