RE: Community Map Pack
You won't notice it, but the code got a makeover. I now hate CSS.

New update within 2 weeks hopefully :)

RE: Community Map Pack
May it please the court.
http://acmappack.co.cc/
http://acmappack.co.cc/included.htm

The pack has 72 maps. I tidied up the majority of the overlapping files, removed all errors I could, and fixed compatibility with some OSs.

On the other side of things, I'm looking for a new banner. As you have probably noticed the text for '..ITY' is somewhat cut off - I'm surprised nobody had the cheek to point this out to me though :D Anyway, if anyone wants to have a go, it just needs to fit in with the pack and the simplicity of the site, and have generally the same dimensions (630x160).

gg

RE: Community Map Pack
Just an FYI, it would be really useful to everybody if you tell me when there's a new version of your map that's in this pack - no, scratch that, it's at your discression - just, if you don't, don't go complaining the map in this pack isn't updated. I can't track all map updates.

Possible update soon, but atm I only have 1/2 new maps.

RE: Community Map Pack
R4, could I request that you hold off on updating the Map Pack for the duration of the U| CLA vs. RVSF Tourney? The maps we will be using are exclusively from the map pack.

RE: Community Map Pack
Hi, I'm new here and I downloaded these maps but I can only see them in the mode of empty map. What do I need to play these maps in one of the other modes?
I use Ubuntu.
Thanx

RE: Community Map Pack
Not all of the maps have been updated for 1.1 with stuff like plclips and helmets yet, but I don't see any reason the good maps in this pack would not work in 1.1.

RE: Community Map Pack
The problem is that when I choose the game mode from the main menu, if I choose to empty mode, appears the "show all maps" so I can choose any of the maps that I downloaded the package, but in other game modes I have only the official maps!

RE: Community Map Pack
Try the commands to vote the map in the game mode such as /ctf, /tdm etc. More at http://assault.cubers.net/docs/reference...Game_modes.

RE: Community Map Pack
Since some of the maps in this pack (ac_outpost, ingress, iceroad, erm... forget) are official in 1.1 it could affect the official maps if you install it in 1.1. Otherwise, it's fine.

Unzip to your AssaultCube folder, for example C:\Program Files\AssaultCube_v1.1.0.0

it loads the map?
By "empty" do you mean "featureless" or "no players in it"?

RE: Community Map Pack
To be sure you're using the right path - check the log it should contain a line saying "Using home directory:" - put all your personal media inside that directory into the proper sub-structure; e.g. maps into subdirectories "packages/maps".
If you aren't already using a game-home - add it as an argument to your starter-script "--home=/path/to/my/assault/files" or "--home=C:\my\AC\files".

RE: Community Map Pack
We don't have the right to edit/add anything to these maps without the author's permission, let alone distribute it in a modified state without even telling them. It is up to the map makers to update their maps and get them to R4zor so the pack can be updated.

RE: Community Map Pack
I figure this is the right place, but can we get some ac_riverside official in 1.1? I don't know much about making maps, just playing on them, and I've been yearning for riverside to be playable officialstyle since .93. Anyone willing to hook a brother up?

RE: Community Map Pack
From what i've heard, downloading v1.1 means you can't use any of the maps you made in v1. if this is true, then there needs to be a way of being able to use v1 maps in v1.1.

Ignore what you've heard. The maps themselves will load fine, provided the server has it, or allows uploading. Older maps won't have helmets, and gameplay might be unbalanced because of changes to weapons, but otherwise they should be fine.
The mappack will have been affected by the move to official status for some of its maps, but R4zor is conscientious, and I'm sure he's working hard to update it to 1.1 when he can find the time in his busy schedule.

RE: Community Map Pack
You can still run it but some things such as map previews may not work with official maps in this pack, and apparently some don't work online due to the map restrictions.
