i went to "https://github.com/assaultcube/AC/releases" and click "assault cube for linux" package that works on the new linux systems.
I put the folder into .AC/source/src/AssaultCube_v1.2.0.2
It ran fine but when i tried to search for a server it said my ip address was banned contact support staff. I've never used this internet to play AC so there's no way i'm banned.
All i'm trying to do is get this game to run on my linux mint
