Client Version

So, i've been checking my server logs and noticed that there are some players with suspicious client versions, is this some kind of bug or i should blacklist these players?
As far as i know, the actual client version is "1202|c04", but some players join with "1202|1e40 " or another value after the 1202|

I imagine that the majority of players that have non-standard client versions are using the git repository
