[SOLVED] I'm not receiving a server list.
#1
I think my IP is blacklisted for some weird reason (perhaps because I live in a shi**y country - Brazil -, and also because I'm using a 1 MB via radio connection).

My IP is x.x.x.x
My OS is Ubuntu 15.04 64 bits.

Thanks in advance!

You are not banned (probably) and your IP isn't registered in master server logs, so problem has to be on your side.

My bad. I think I can't change it actually, correct? Admin, I'd like to change it to acaciosc. Change it if possible, please.

I don't remember of playing Assault Cube online before, but since I use via radio internet, I guess another person may have the same IP as mine. TBH, I don't understand how via radio connections work (and if it's known where you live), so don't quote me on this one. Via radio internet consists in distributing the internet signal picked up by a dedicated link using antennas and distributing it through POPs (Point of Presence) throughout the city.

When trying to find the master server, a blank page is shown, without any feedback message whatsoever.

probably the firewall blocked assaultcube.

You said you were using Ubuntu. When you installed AC, did you 'apt-get install assaultcube' from the repositories or did you download/compile the game yourself from our website?

If you used the repository, you're using the wrong version. If you downloaded the game from our site (http://assault.cubers.net/download.html) then it may be another issue.

I don't think so, since I don't even touch in this thing. But I have no clue when talking about firewalls.

This! I downloaded from Ubuntu Software Center. So I guess we now know the issue. I will download from this site and see what happens (probably the answer is to mark this thread as SOLVED). Thank you very much, X-Ray_Dog. I was about to PM you - but I guess it's better to post here because probably a lot of people are facing this very same issue as well.

EDIT: It worked now! YAY!
