How to kick players

How would I go about kicking a hacker/cheater/general hole on a 1.1.0.1 server. I understand that some servers only enable it for admins. I have tried "/kick x" (client #) an it gave the error "Invalid reason". Then I tried "/kick x reason" I even tried "kick x reason: x" HELP!!

/kick [cn] [reason]

Reason must be 3 or more characters.

And the quotes, if you must use them, go around the "reason" part of the command.
Read about command arguments here (section 1.1.3).

Also: Do not kick cheaters. Ban them.

Thanks guys, I've been puzzled about this since 1.1.0.1 came out. Also, another question, why is the kick/ban option not listed in the MP menu as it was in v1.04? Anyway, thanks for the help!

Normally at first sight of the millions of twirling snakes in Medusa's hair people will leave a server like that! ::snaps fingers:: so I don't think you gotta worry about kicking peeps :D
