Demo's and the setmr command.

Hey guys!

Just a quick question regarding demo's and the command to skip through to a defined minute of the footage. Does anyone else have trouble with the client crashing/the demo lagging when using this command?

I find I can only use it once, if it all, before the client crashes and was wondering if it's just my dinosaur computer or anyone else has come across this.

Feel free to shoot out any ideas you may have which might fix the problem.

It's a known bug, which has been fixed in future releases. Never /setmr for a time before your current time in the demo; always restart the demo first. Also, be prepared to have some issues on older hardware, trying to fast forward through 14 minutes of 8v8 CTF.

Tbh my computer isn't too old, it just has trouble with overheating.

Have you opened her up (comp). My last one had dust in the GPU and I was over heating about 4 or 5 hours of use. 4 if gaming and 5 if just on doing some browsing. I cleaned my GPU and all was well till I spilt a bottle of whiskey on on it.


Useless tip: Vodka and a Q-Tip cleans nintendo cartridges
