Hey guys,
Since 2 months now I can't make a screenshot without crashing my assaultcube,
The error is: Can't find *the name of my last screenshot here*.
The weird thing is I can still make a screenshot and it also save it like usual.
Reinstalling AssaultCube isn't helping either.
Hope someone can help me.

That error doesn't sound like it's from AC. How about you make a screenshot of it?
Also - in case you reinstall at some point: make sure, you don't choose the "XP" option during installation. That's of no use to anyone...

I asked where did you install the game, not where you downloaded it. Anyway, Stef pointed it out, it's a different issue than a not well installation, when you didn't have the right to write in the installation folder to save a screenshot, it was crashing AC, but the screenshot wasn't saved.

The exact same thing happened to me, and it was because I was trying to save my screenshot as a JPEG (as is default) when I experimented with an odd screen resolution (my old monitor had a 5:4 aspect ratio or something, not sure if AC supports/supported 1280x1024 natively).
Anyway, typing /screenshottype 2 will change the format in which your screenshots are captured from JPEG to PNG, which fixed the problem for me. You should then be able to just /screenshot or F12 as normal. Best of luck, hope it works out!
