Free clan websites?

Does anyone know a good way to create free clan websites? I'm kinda getting tired on enjin.

Sign up for an ad/banner-less free web hosting service, install some web apps to make the creation of it easier (any good free CMS, forum software like myBB, phpBB, SMF, maybe a blog for the homepage, Wordpress, etc.) and go from there.

Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous you can learn HTML/CSS and hand-code the entire thing. (Will prove to be lots of work.)

Most importantly you won't have any free web host forced ads on your site, which really makes any website look unprofessional. If possible try to make your site unique from other clan sites (meaning you gotta go check theirs out so you can do something different), easy to navigate and use (user friendly), keep it up to date, etc.

Don't expect the world given to you with one of these free services though, if you are a "power user" and you think you may need some fancy stuff (like the ability to control the php.ini or allow hotlinking of your files) you probably will be forced to pay a little bit of money for a decent paid web host.

You will need this and lots of this if you want to make a /good/ website.

The problem is that
A) millions of sites use it and
B) that most people don't update it regularly.

C) And it really _SUCKS_ compared to other great stuff like MyBB, SMF and punBB.

If you have FTP user and pass, get FileZilla and upload all the stuff in your webspace.

No that doesn't help at all. It might even try to devour you in the process. Honest advice: Use a ready-made forum/site like the ones suggested at the beginning if you don't know how to upload some stuff.

PunBB is not bad imho, and it's light. ;)

PhpBB sucks anyway, it's slow, and not as good as the others board you can find.

Yeah I know but the host is mine, I installed the template, I installed the forum, I created the portal system (on the home page), I created the registration system, I created the presentation generator, I created the site advertisement generator and I also have full access to modify my files and databases, thats so much better than hosting my site on a site creator wich have full control of it and limited functions too.

Best thing to do is this: download Wordpress and bbPres, make a style for both CMS's and integrate them, this will give you an incredible website.
