Question to modelers
#1
I recently rediscovered an AC map I put on hold hoping the newest version of AC would incorporate some of my mapping improvements including mapmodels with negative height offset.

That didn't happen so now I'm hoping someone knows if it is possible to make mapmodels offset in the model itself? Specifically I need the fencepost and wire fence in a way that it can sit on top of a heightfield (half cube)

Thanks in advance for your answers.

You actually can set negative elevation values on the config file. Should be the 3rd parameter of the mapmodel command. Parameter 1 and 2 are for the collision box (optional) and the 4th is not in use, as far as I remember.

Therefore you do not have to mess around with the model itself.

@X-Ray yes like that.

In the map config file? I'll check it out.

I got it to work with -1, -0.5 didn't work. How did you do that X-ray?

I initially thought maybe you had done that, but I thought you were trying to provide a solution rather than a workaround.

Thank you Mr. Floppy
