i get huge lagspikes
#1
well, my clan knows it.. since around 1 year i have big lagspikes. This is not allowing me to play decently. More infos:

It never happened in the previous years,
I already tried to reinstall the game, reset cfg and so on
My game fps are not dropping under 900
The spikes happen every 2 minutes. I see everyone ghost, everyone ping become around 300 and then "lag" and usually i just get shooted from nowhere and die. After 2 or 3 seconds the game returns to normality.
it happens in all modes, with all weapons, and so on
i don't have spikes in other games
monitoring my net, i didnt notice any peak of usage

i thanx in anticipation everyone who will help me!

Could it be something to do with your network drivers? Try updating/reinstalling.

Also, try playing using an ethernet cable to see if it's just bad wifi reception.

Any other programs in the background?
uTorrent? TS3? IRC?

Try turning every other program in the background off and then testing the lag in AC.

ping?.... or pj ?

^usually it's PJ's, then pings are turning red a sec or two before you get disconnected or before it comes back to normal.

Yeah, I had the same problems...
...it's only about PJ's!
It was a driver problem (I updated it and that's works fine for me);
Anyway, try also to find one solution here (dedicated to Windows OS): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/...s.10).aspx
Instead of installing some softwares of "Booster" or "Optimization".

Task Manager > Click Network so it shows which is using highest network amount.
Keep this open until when the lag spike happens alt + tab and see what it is. Tricky, but worth a try.

It also could be an overheat problem, I only get overheats when I'm playing AC without maxing my FPS and when I play RotMG (flash, uh).

This happened for me when I renamed the file openal32_RemoveThisPartToUseOpenAL-Soft.dll to openal32.dll, when I changed it back the problem went away...

Net usage (the blue line). AC running with spikes. Looks like its not a network problem

Processes. The blue lines is not important, just the maximum cpu that it can be used. 100% is default.

Ok, sry my late.

lets try - 3 steps

1) Remove cacaoweb.exe (plugin - megacubo, firefox, etc.)
2) Change your safe solution - install (www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/anti-virus-spyware-free-download.htm) and remove Avira
3) Open ZoneAlarm and turn on "Game Mode"

Please report the results

* Processor, video card, lan card, in overheat?
