Use 1.1, not 1.04.

The masterserver is not http based anymore.

Yes, I mean 1.1.0.4

For 1.1 the MS url is assault.cubers.net

Unfortunately, RPG, there was a cheat using the same ISP as you, so the range is banned until 2 October. I'll PM you further info...

jamz, you're a graph making machine; how many players are affected by these kind of bans on a yearly basis? Whats the percentage to the rest of us?

I'm hoping this isn't all that common.

jamz, IP you banned belongs to giant ISP in Moscow. This is dynamic IP address shared between many users, so it's useless to ban it (of course if you don't want to ban whole 12-million city:)

I tried new client downloaded from your website. Actually I used 1.1.0.3, not 1.1.0.4, but even 1.1.0.4 doesn't work.

Did you even read my PM, RPG? I said try once, wait 24 hours, then try again, and if it still doesn't work, PM me. You waited 2h 16m. Also, I'm well aware, when I place a ban, how many regular, occasional and possible players I'm affecting. This Moscow ban pales into insignificance compared to some of the Brazilian, French and Australian bans, but it's nice to see your concern for your fellow Muscovites. Rest assured that annoyances like this are kept to a minimum and help is always provided where it can be.

I'll try, Bukz, but I can't promise anything meaningful.

If it had been only for me I would have said...

Free PUSSY RIOT and then we'll lift the ban!

Jamz, I'm very rarely play AC last time. Last week I just wanted to test SVN version but it didn't work, then I noticed that official version doesn't work too.

I don't care about ban because next 4 months I will have no free time to play AC. I hope this is enough time to wait.
Thanks given by:

Btw even after waiting 24h it doesn't work.
Thanks given by:

Because you didn't use the AC client to access the MS.

I use this client: http://sourceforge.net/projects/actionga...2/download

If it doesn't work, I'm afraid that there are problems with your masterserver (or you banned too much).

a) This is a lie, you used a 'client' that reported itself as AC1000
2013-08-31 05:55:06 sban entry: 128.69.156.211 unarmed AC1000
(This is the IP you used to post here)

b) Once you attempted to use an AC client, you compiled your own, despite me warning against this in my PM.

c) Once you managed to follow my steps to success, you decided not to let the forums know that the problem had been solved, but lied about it, maybe because it's better to let people think I'm a douchebag.

You may not be a douchebag but you're definitely way too lenient my friend!

I wouldn't certainly not let him go away with this.

Seems that I told you that this IP doesn't mean anything. My ISP shares dynamically allocated IP. It changes every time. You really banned this range? Good luck. That man you banned long time ago even doesn't know about it, but I know.

I downloaded 1.1.0.4 version a week ago and didn't tried to connect using others clients. unarmed? How???

Some connectinng attempts were successed (where you told me that I'm lied) but most of them were failed. Currently I really can login, but when I use some IP's I can't, so that issue may corresponds with following:
1) Bug in AC that sends wrong version info first (maybe it depends on config? 1.1.04 is VERY glitchy with config home dir!)
2) Too wide IP range were banned (but you even didn't told what really IP range you were banned)

I tried to connect to servers and I got this everywhere: "you were banned on this server". Yesterday it didn't work for friend of mine (same ISP). Today it works... I don't think this behaviour means that issue has been solved.

Oh dude, you should get an Oscar award for best faker. No matter how dynamic, the IP allocated to you will always stay for one session. Which in layman terms, means that the IP you used to post on the forums, matches the IP logged in the MS. Unless your ISP is that much of a prick to change IP pretty much every single minute, you are lying your face off.

You posted on 31 August @ 05:56 UTC with IP 128.69.156.211. The MS log shows that IP being banned at 05:55 UTC on that day. Do you expect me to believe that this is a different person? That's one super co-incidence.

If you type "telnet assault.cubers.net 28760" then "list", this is what I see:
2013-09-03 06:54:20 list sent: x.x.x.x unarmed AC1000
It's the default name and AC version for when no details are sent.

I'm happy posting the full IP, now that yours has changed again. You'll see that you successfully retrieved a server list five times between 19:29 and 19:59 and you have not received a ban entry since that time. However, you decided to post at 20:05, without saying that it was working. This is what pisses me off.

Let's see how many AC1000 requests I've seen from any of your IP ranges in the last six months:

Oh. That's it.
Quote:1.1.04 is VERY glitchy with config home dir!
Maybe, if you have no control over your OS, but that's nothing to do with this thread.
Quote:Too wide IP range were banned (but you even didn't told what really IP range you were banned)
I don't know what you mean by "Too wide". If you mean that it encompasses any IP that the cheat could get, you'd be right.
37.144.0.0/15
89.178.0.0/16
93.80.0.0/16

128.68.0.0/15 // 128.69
128.72.0.0/16
176.14.0.0/16
The only two regular players, as far as I can see, who are affected by this are you and your cheating friend Azello. I had a 'Fluttershy' on IRC last week who I was able to help, there are two players called STr4NGeR and VAGINA who are OK, and I get maybe one new player per week from these ranges.
Quote:I tried to connect to servers and I got this everywhere: "you were banned on this server".
When you get banned from the MS, your IP is sent to the servers for 24 hours, hence the "wait 24 hours" warning. The server keeps that ban until it next reports to the MS, which may not be regularly and is beyond my control. This is the one, minor, issue which I would like to see solved.
