Bind scope to key
#1
How do I bind the scope to a key, like the right mouse button?

I tried the following, but when I click to shoot, it changes the weapon.

/bind lalt altaction

Doesn't work...

I used this:
/bind F [if (= (curweapon) 5) [altaction] []]

Replace F with your key of choice. Should work.

Nope, that doesn't work...
I can indeed scope, but when I click (to shoot) it changes to the knife.

Then the problem is probably with your left click bind. Try typing this to reset it:
/bind MOUSE1 [attack]

[cubescript]bind KEY [setscope 1; onrelease [setscope 0]][/cubescript]

I've set MOUSE1 to attack and bonded the key like Bukz said, but I still keep having this problem.

Any other way of playing with sniper and trackpad? :p

Maybe clicking your trackpad is triggering MOUSE3 instead of MOUSE1? I don't know how or why, but it's one of only two default keys that switch to knife, and the other is a number

All you have to do is go to keyboard settings and change the key for special action and that will do it :)

I found out that it's only with the alt key that I changes to the knife.
So i'll use another key...

I don't know if that's a Mac thing but same thing happens to me. I hold alt to check the minimap and in some rare cases I accidentally click and knife pops up :(

Middle mouse button click defaults to switch to knife.

Fix:
[cubescript]bind MOUSE3 [ ][/cubescript]

Clicking trackpad on Mac counts as middle mouse button on moist computers

Buy a cheap 2 button + wheel mouse. http://www.Bestbuy.com
Starting at 8 bucks, though I would suggest at least spending 15.

Or if you still want to try and bind a key, you can bind one from the GUI menu so you don't need to learn anything. Might try resetting your binds first though, I think you may have changed quite a bit in the last couple of days

Mice enough here, but I'm not gonna take them always with me...

Thanks for all feedback, I'll have a look at everything!

I've bindend mouse3 to "attack" and it works...
But sniping without rightclick is a pain in the ass!

Stop dealing with Mac stuffs, start by changing your avatar. :P

Haha :D
Sniping on a trackpad is a problem on every computer I suppose?

If I'm correct RR uses trackpad to play, so I guess you can get used to it, but your best sniper level on trackpad would be nothing close compared to your best with mouse imo.
