Is it possible to share maps between windows & linux?
#1
My son has created several maps using AssaultCube for Linux. The Linux version keeps crashing, however, I'm told because of an issue with NVIDIA drivers.

So we're going to try the Windows version. Of course, he would like to keep the maps he designed. Is it possible to use a map built in the Linux version in the Windows version? If so, how?

Sorry if this has been asked; couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter what OS the author was using when he created the map, the map should have no problems running on other OS's/machines/even versions of AC. Maps from 1.0.4 should be compatible with 1.1, nothing that drastic has changed in the map format. Some things should be updated of course, like adding plclips, helmet pickups, etc.

All you will need is the map .cgz (and if it has one) the .cfg

Edit: Yes, yes it is possible. :P

You just have to copy them over from the ~/.assaultcube (or something like that) dir to the windows directory.
