i tried to start a server, and it says " WARNING: master server registration failed: failed pinging server.
heres what i did.
SErver description: :TPG:
message of the day: hi
max clients: 8
player password:
Admin password:****
public server: YES
additional command-line parameters:
win service name:
did i have to fill out every one? idk what to fill them out with.

You need to forward ports 28763 and 28764.

ok, well i forwarded ports, and it still wont work. Do i have to do anything with win service name? or addition server swithces. for server port, i put 27863-27864, and i forwarded ports on firewall. did i do somethign wrong?

http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm - a much more precise tool; it also tells you your internal IP just so you know for sure what IP you need to forward the ports to.

the ports should be UDP right?
I used the program and it said, your port is not open or not reachable.
Im not directly connected tto the router, i have wireless connection with my USB port

Wait... the server you will host will run on a wireless home connection?

yeah i connect to the router downstairs with a wireless USB device
